Balancing work and parenting

Balancing a demanding job with life as a new parent has been one of the greatest adjustments of my life. The sheer exhaustion of sleepless nights made it incredibly difficult to maintain focus at work. I’ll never forget one morning when I walked into a meeting completely unprepared because my daughter had been awake crying for hours. That feeling of being pulled in two directions—wanting to give my all at work while also being fully present at home—was brutal.

But on the other hand, nothing compares to the profound joy of seeing my baby smile for the first time after a long day. It has given me a sense of perspective I never had before. Work deadlines now feel less earth-shattering when compared to those fleeting family moments. Parenthood has taught me to recalibrate my priorities, and even though it’s messy, the love makes the chaos worthwhile.
