Productivity Advice at Work

Honestly, staying productive at work isn’t about working longer hours — it’s about working smarter. One thing that’s helped me is to tackle the hardest task first. If I leave it until later, I end up procrastinating and feeling stressed all day.

I also use a technique where I block out distractions for short bursts of time. I’ll put my phone on silent, close my email, and set a timer for 45 minutes. It’s amazing how much you can get done when you’re not constantly switching gears.

Another tip? Take real breaks. I used to power through lunch at my desk, but now I step outside for fresh air, and I come back with way more energy.

Lastly, I try to set clear boundaries around my schedule. Saying “no” sometimes is the only way to protect your focus.
