My Resolution Is to Start Running Again
Henry: Um, so for the coming year my plan is to get fit again. I’ve been far too sedentary this year.
Henry: Um, partly the nature of my job and also, um, the pandemic. We’ve been shut up a lot, cooped up in our houses… um, but those are just excuses. It’s quite possible for me to- to get fit again.
Henry: Um, I really love trail running, so that’s the plan, is to get back out onto the trails.
Henry: Um, we have some beautiful mountain trails around my city, um…. but, I’m not that fit at the moment so I think I need to start off with some road running just to build up my fitness
Henry: and then hopefully I’ll get, uh, onto the trails, uh, sooner th-, sooner than later,
Henry: and um, yeah, that’s my first love when it comes to- to running, is to be out in the mountains. It’s just a- a really liberating experience out there.
Henry: It’s um, it’s far more interesting than running on the road, which I find a bit boring, um, and tedious. But so, that’s it! I just- let’s hope it sticks.
