Talking About My New Year’s Resolution to Eat Healthier

Kelly: So, New Year’s Eve is coming up really quickly and I get nervous whenever January approaches because I haven’t set my New Year’s Eve resolutions yet. And- so, I don’t know, I need some ideas. What are you gonna set for yours?

Grace: Well, I mean, I’m just focusing on being healthier this year because, like- whenever bod- whenever somebody brings food into the office or something- cake, it’s somebody’s birthday or they were baking cookies, it’s really hard to resist that.

Grace: Um, yeah, so I’m just gonna try to up my motivation to stop giving into that temptation, um…

Kelly: Oh yeah, I mean I definitely hear you. I want to invest more in my health and, one of the ways is to resist temptation.

Kelly: And we have some really good cooks in our office- or- or- they’re married to people who are good cooks too, so they’re always bringing in baked goods or treats of some sort and I can never resist. And yes, that’s a really good idea for January.

Grace: Yeah, I mean I also have to exercise more so that’s, like, another motivation thing right there I need to work up.

Kelly: Well, do you have a good regimen that you’re planning on doing?

Grace: Oh… I hate exercise, so that’s the problem!

Kelly: Yeah, I guess that is a problem. I guess maybe if you find one thing you really enjoy doing, it might make it easier.

Grace: Yeah, that’s true, that’s true. That’s a good idea.
