My favourite book
My favorite book is The Humans by Matt Haig. I first read it during a tough time, and it completely struck a chord with me. The story follows an alien who comes to Earth and has to learn what it means to be human. It’s funny, heartbreaking, and oddly comforting all at once.
What I loved most was how thought-provoking it was. It makes you see everyday life — family, love, even small talk — through fresh eyes. There’s this underlying warmth in the writing that reminds you how messy and beautiful being human can be.
I also loved how accessible the book felt. It’s deep without being pretentious, and the alien’s observations about life really stayed with me. It’s the kind of book you want to lend to your friends because you know it will give them something to think about.
