My Favorite TV Program
Kathy: If I were to recommend a favorite TV program, it would be “Have I Got News For You”. It’s a topical news quiz and I recommend it because it’s funny and informative.
Kathy: Comedians and special guests are asked questions about the news.
Kathy: I like it because I get to learn about what’s going on in the world, and also because they can have some very witty panelists on who sometimes challenge the mainstream media and always make me laugh.

witty – using words in a very clever, quick, and funny way, “She gave a witty reply that made everyone in the classroom smile.”
panelists – members of a small group of people who gather to discuss a topic, answer questions, or play a game on a television or radio show, “The panelists on the morning show shared different opinions about the new environment law.”
challenge – to question or express disagreement with whether something is true, correct, or fair, “The student was brave enough to challenge the incorrect answer written on the board.”
mainstream media – traditional, large news organizations (like major TV networks and newspapers) that reach and influence most of the public, “Many small internet websites report local stories that are completely ignored by the mainstream media.”
