My favourite shows to relax

I used to feel guilty about binge-watching TV, but I recently read research showing it can actually be good for your mental health. Shows like Friends can help you unwind after a long day, boost your mood, and even reduce stress.

My go-to show is Parks and Recreation. It’s hilarious, and after watching an episode or two, I feel lighter, like I’ve managed to switch off my brain from work completely.

Experts say that re-watching familiar shows can feel comforting because you know what’s coming — it’s like visiting old friends. Plus, laughing releases endorphins, which are basically your brain’s natural stress-relievers.

Of course, moderation matters. If you glue yourself to the screen all weekend, that’s not ideal. But using a favorite show as a way to relax? That can do wonders for your overall well-being.
